Born and raised in Goldsboro, NC, I graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1979 and pursued my studies at North Carolina Central University, focusing on Physical Education. With a career as a Coach Operator at Greyhound Lines Inc., I proudly served in the United States Army for 28 years before retiring. My experiences have shaped my commitment to excellence and community service."

Frederick Thomas
I am proud native of Goldsboro, NC, and a graduate Goldsboro High School, Class of 1978. I Proudly serve 12 years of dedicated service in the United States Army. I earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services from Columbia College in 2000, Frederick brings over 15 years of experience as a Disabled Veteran Outreach Representative with the Department of Labor. I am passionate about helping veterans overcome employment barriers, Frederick provides invaluable career counseling and employment services to those in need.

Edwin Barnes
Born and raised in Goldsboro, NC, I proudly graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1978. My journey continued at NC Central University, followed by six years of dedicated service in the United States Air Force, where I honed my operations skills. After gaining experience at First Citizens Bank and in the military, I embarked on a successful career in the Wireless Telecommunications industry, where I worked as an Engineer until my retirement in 2022. He enjoy helping young people strive to be the best they can be.

Greg Oates
I am a proud native of Goldsboro, NC, and a graduate of Goldsboro High School, Class of 1979. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Education from Elizabeth City State University in 1983 and later completed a Master’s of Counseling from the University of South Carolina in 2001. With over 30 years of experience in various human service agencies, including the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, I retired in April 2022, having dedicated my career to public service.

Darryl Coleman
Born in April 1961, Darryl is a Goldsboro native. Graduated with the Goldsboro High School Class of ’79. He is a 22-year Air Force Veteran, and 22-year civil servant. Darryl is an avid golfer, who combines his love for the game with a passion for uplifting others. Known for encouraging those around him to be their best selves, he brings positivity and support to every interaction, inspiring excellence both on and off the course.
